Year Six pupils again visited Oundle School’s SciTec last week, this time to support their learning about the topic ‘How We See Things’ in Science. Pupils enjoyed practical lessons in both the Biology and Physics labs. After eyeballs had been dissected, and parts labelled and attributed with a function, the children moved on to learn about how different types of lens can be used to correct eyesight.
Year Six teacher Mrs Pearson said, ‘The visit provided an excellent opportunity to support the children’s learning in Science, and working in the labs also gave them the chance to prepare themselves further for the move to senior school in September.’
